Hello readers! I hope you are all well. The New York Tea Report has
been
on hiatus since the London Editions, but I am happy to announce that
it is back again.
Well, coming back from London to New York in mid-summer, the heat is simply amazing
and I can’t help but reach for a cold beverage. Speaking of cold
drinks, the United States
boasts a rich variety of iced tea. Iced tea has been the standard cold
drink for generations
and in fact, most of the tea consumed in this country is served
cold. Tea has not had
much of a presence as a hot drink, but the exact opposite is true for
iced tea. Surprising, isn’t it?
Although iced tea has been sweet for the most part until recently, we now see a variety of flavors, such as diet tea that is less sweet, green tea with Asian plum or ginseng, decaffeinated green tea and English tea with vitamin or mineral supplements. During the hot summer days ahead, the next few installments of the Tea Report will focus on the American standard, the iced tea.
