Tea dyed Products

Tea dyed T-shirts, handkerchiefs and sox are the most popular tea products. They can be purchased at the tea shops, or theme parks in Shizuoka. Now, how those products are made? There are two kinds of tea dyed products. One is actually tea-colored tea dyed products, and the other one is used different coloring to color cloths, but permeate tea extract for its antibacterial and deodorant effect. Tea dyed cloths are made with regular and orthodox method. Color does not necessary comes out as brown or green, which we imagine the color of tea. It is because of the chemical effect, the color variation is quite wide. Today, more and more tea dyed products are developed rather for practical use such as antibacterial effect. Recently new technology to attach effective substances, such as catechine to cloths is developed, and called as fix-process. With this new technology, the effective substances from the tea can be attached to the cloths. This newly developed product has not appeared on the market yet (August, 2000). However Shizuoka prefecture, Hamamatsu Industrial technology center, and other private sectors are continuing to try to merchandise those products. Today, the ways to utilize tea become diverse, from drinking to eating, then eating to wearing. And we are expecting more products of using tea will be introduced on the market in the near future.
