Tea producing countries and the production amount

Cha is an evergreen plant and family of theaceae. The official name of tea is camellia sinensis (L)O.Kuntze. Cha plant can be roughly categorized by either Chinese breed (ver.sinensis) or Assam breed (var assamica). Chinese breed was found much longer ago before Assam breed was discovered in India. While Chinese breed tea trees are relatively short, and have small leaves, Assam trees are tall and have large leaves with sharp ends. In the 1830th, tea trees were found in Assam in India, and they were named as Assam. Both Chinese and Assam breeds are easily hybrid and many different kind of hybrid can be possibly developed for the tea cultivation.00 Tea is widely produced in Asia, Africa, and South America.
