Indications on the bag (Green tea)

When you see the packaged tea or tea in can, you may notice the indication which tells you about the tea inside the package. Here is a little explanation of each indication. (Name) What kind of tea leaves are contained in the package is indicated, such as Sencha, Bancha, Gyokurocha, Hojicha, Green tea( instant tea) or "Genmaicha with Matcha powder". (Raw materials) Usually says "tea" or "green tea". If something is added, the name of additives is indicated. (The place of origins) Name up to 3 countries names when several tea leaves from different countries are blended. If tea is produced in Japan and sold in Japan, this category often omitted. (Containing amount) Usually indicated by gram. (How to store) If the sentence is too long, just write "Refer to the slip inside" or "see the back of the package" and write them in designated area. (Note) Same as above. (Name of the manufacture and the wholesaler) Name (individual or corporation), and address. When only seller and wholesaler are indicated, there should be a mark of the manufacture after the name of wholesaler. Above information should not be a source for judging the quality of the tea. For now, price might be the only way to know the quality of Japanese green tea. Also, if the tea is grown organically, that should also indicated.
