ICOS: 2004 International Conference on O-CHA(tea) Culture and Science

Message

Dear Colleagues,

The health benefits of O-CHA(tea) have been proven scientifically and many different products containing O-CHA(tea) have been developed. O-CHA(tea) is not just a beverage, but is used in many different ways.
Given these facts, the "2001 International Conference on O-CHA(tea) Culture and Science" was held in October of that year, with 578 participants from 19 countries attending. At the Conference, the latest developments across such broad fields as history, culture, production, health benefits, marketing, and so on were presented. All presentations were very valuable and showcased the positive progress of scientific research concerning tea.
In order to better our results and lead to the further development of tea research, we will be holding the "2004 International Conference on O-CHA(tea) Culture and Science" from November 4th through 6th, 2004 in Shizuoka City, Japan.
This Conference will cover vast fields of research and offer excellent opportunities to exchange the latest and most advanced developments from around the world.
Shizuoka Prefecture is Japan's center of O-CHA(tea) production and distribution and is also home to the symbol of the country, Mt. Fuji. We believe that in Shizuoka, all participants will obtain valuable information and the Conference will prove beneficial for the O-CHA(tea) industry of the 21st century.
