What is the name?

It is World Green Tea Association.

Why do you establish the organization?

Because we think we need a core organization which helps popularize green tea around the world by encouraging wider communications among people centering on tea which has excellent cultural background and health beneficial functions and by collecting and disseminating information on tea and by awarding those who contributed to the wider recognition of green tea culturally, industrially and scientifically and by encouraging the research on tea and by studying and proposing good life with green tea.

What do you do?

We are planning to do such as below:
1.Centering on tea, encourage wider communications among people in such ways as to organize and support the "International Conference on O-CHA Culture and Science " or the "World O-CHA Messe".
2.Collect and disseminate the information on production, distribution, Consumption, health beneficial functions, development of new products.
Collect and disseminate the information by way of Internet Home Page.
3.Award those who contributed to the wider recognition of green tea culturally, industrially or scientifically and to encourage and support the researches on tea.
4.Study and propose good life with green tea by organizing forums, symposiums or lectures on green tea culture.
5.Support the communications among the members of the association and assist the business of the members in accordance with the aims of the association.
EPublication the bulletins and holding the exchange meetings
ERecommendation, introduction and dispatch the lectures.
EConsultation on research and/or human resources on tea.
EIntroduction of members or the tea products by Internet Home Page.
6.Other activities to realize the aims of this association.

Can anyone be a member of this association?

We receive applications for the association.
Any individual or organization who honors the aims of the association can be a member.

Where is the office?

For the time being, the secretariat of the association will be placed and functions in the "Tea Promotion Room" in the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery, the Government of Shizuoka Prefecture.
