The executive Committee of World O-CHA (tea) Festival 2004 holds the original tea recipe contest for foreign residents of Japan as one of main programs of World O-CHA (tea) Festival 2004, Shizuoka, November 3 - 7, 2004, which is the world biggest tea event. Submit your tastiest and most-innovative tea recipe for a chance to win cash prizes.

*All recipes must be used Japanese tea. Collaboration with other kinds of tea (made from Camellia sinensis ) and Japanese tea is acceptable.

*Any style of foods and Snacks such as Japanese, Chinese, Italian, American, international, etc are welcomed.

*We especially love originality, unique title, good flavor, harmony, and innovative idea of using
Japanese tea.

Eligibility
  • Open only to legal foreign residents of Japan, including those who has Japanese nationality but does not speak Japanese as mother language.
  • Either individual or group entrants are acceptable. Group must include at least one foreign resident.
How to submit an entry
  • Fill in entry form (Japanese and English acceptable).
  • Submit your original recipe by mailing your entry attached with 7 copies of photo to the address listed below.

Schedule
  • Deadline is August 15, 2004. Entries must be postmarked by the date of deadline.
Other Rules
  • All recipes must be original and not the property of another individual or company.
  • Recipes that you have published elsewhere are allowed, but make sure you own the copyright before submitting.
  • Copyright of winners’ recipes belongs to the organizer.
  • Winners grant us permission to publish their recipes on the web-site O-CHA NET ant the other publications by the organizer and joint organizers.
  • Submitted documents will not be returned to entrants.
